I’m spending the day at home with my friend, Astrid, who has come over to co-work in the coziness of the indoors to escape the hustle and bustle of a possibly noisy café, where she might typically find refuge from the harsh, biting chill of Berlin winters. Astrid, who runs Twindly, a website aimed at helping users find new and exciting beauty products by connecting them with “beauty twins” and gurus, is not only it’s founder and CEO, but she is also quite the foodie. Having a good friend over who revels in the pleasures of good food gives me the opportunity to fiddle around in the kitchen to willing and eager audience. So, while Astrid is working away on her laptop, I’m sifting through my cookbooks looking for inspiration for my next catering venture and cooking up a meal (actually, two) for us to fuel us through our workday.
